Daniel William Carter (born 5 March 1982 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer. He has currently scored a total of 540 test points (16 tries, 98 conversions, 87 penalties, 1 drop goal). In the 35 tests he has played, he has only been on the losing team three times. He currently plays first five-eighths, having originally played second five-eighth. He is often referred simply as "Dan" or "DC".

This is actually a fan dedication to DC. And In August 2006, Carter landed a penalty from 62 m against S.A, one of the biggest kicks ever recorded in a test match
